WeatherTrax receives the location and weather-query parameters that Claude sends to retrieve weather data. We send those parameters to World Weather Online, our weather-data provider, only to fulfill the request.
WeatherTrax does not create user accounts, use cookies, or use advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not persist weather-query locations, raw tool arguments, provider responses, or client IP addresses in application logs.
For reliability and capacity planning, the service records aggregate operational metrics: request timestamps, tool name, query category, success or failure, cache use, and upstream-provider request counts. These metrics do not identify individual users or retain locations.
WeatherTrax retains only the short-lived in-memory cache required to reduce duplicate weather-provider requests: current conditions for up to two minutes, forecasts for up to fifteen minutes, and sunrise/sunset data for up to six hours. Cached data is not shared between users and is cleared when the service restarts.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent through WeatherTrax support.
